Lake 1
Bell Acqua the site of Two World Jump Records and a total of 9 Jump records were broken in the
year 2003. These records were broken in a two day period the culmination of many water ski
tournaments over a 30 year period beginning in 1978. Bell Acqua was conceived from a childhood
dream of Phillip Todd and Bill Mahannah High School Water ski buddy’s who began to enjoy the
sport at Lake Berryessa, California. Bell Acqua was the Third professional water ski tournament
lake to be built in the State of California and was an instant success thanks to the help of Bob &
Chris La Point who made Bell Acqua their water ski home for many years. Bell Acqua has become
recognizable as one of the finest Tournament Water Ski Facilities in the USA and throughout the
World. The home of USA Water Ski Tournaments including College Nationals, Western Regional
and Pro Tour Championships and present home of the UC Davis Water Ski Team.

Lake 2
Bell Acqua Lake 2 is the middle of the 3 ski lakes in the Bell Acqua complex and was built in 1981.
Bell Acqua Lake 2 is owned by the 18 home owners of Bell Acqua Homeowners Association (BAHA)
and is populated primarily with permanent resident families. The community and lake has a long
heritage of supporting and developing 3 Event Water Skiing. The lake has a record capable slalom
and jump course and hosts multiple 3 Event Waterski Tournaments annually. Bell Acqua Lake 2
has a well developed and maintained infrastructure around the lake that consists of a spacious ski
dock, harbor area with covered on water boat docks, large grass areas and a boat ramp. The lake
is a North-South directional lake with good wind protection provided by a fully mature tree line
around the lake.
